JAWS AND SINGING SARDINE ATTACK IN PORT OF TOWNSVILLE

Exclusive  by  Australia's only  S(h)ipping   Reporter

On  a  day which  included a visit  to the optometrist ,  this  strange creature , from a  distance ,  gave  the appearance  of  a tagged   man-eater shark  or a  killer whale chasing a  tasty  baby seal  on  a  bank  of   Ross River , Townsville. On  closer  examination , it  proved   to  be a stormwater  pipe   with a  fin like  vent ,  a wide  range of  litter  thereabouts . This unedifying  display of   junk  is  just off the  Flinders Street East  nightclub  area , not  far  from  the  Museum of Tropical  Queensland  and  the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park  Authority  headquarters . A long immersed ,  rusting  , upended  shopping  trolley  with  a  crop  of  crustaceans  was  also   spotted  nearby .
Later  on  a  visiting  school of  noisy  Norwegian  Eurovision  sardines  , above ,  was   photographed  forming  a  mosh pit .
