For decades , residents in the Northern Territory capital of Darwin have watched with great interest and puzzlement the extremely slow progress by an Italian builder at Nightcliff who promised to construct a stand out residence on his block . At one stage , following media comment , the owner painted a sign : Rome Was Not Built in a Day ! on the site . Then, much later, he built a wall along the street border to block from view the construction behind , our photo taken in December . Some wags now suggest Donald Trump should call in the owner to build a fancy wall along the Mexican border .
