PIRATES AND SMUGGLERS WELCOME

After being keel hauled  and undergoing something of  a  refit , the  piratical  Scallywags  Cafe  has reopened on Magnetic Island. Another place adding to the lawless and contraband  atmosphere of the island is the newly opened  wine bar , Smugglers,  recently discovered by the Townsville   Bulletin . In July, 2019 , Little  Darwin ran a  post  which  said  a  wine bar  was  being built on the island  whose mascot is not a pirate's pissed parrot, but a   budgerigar .
