THE NIBBLED BRIDE AND ARTY

Folder  of  old  photographs yields  its secrets
Unidentified bride  poses   for  this circa  1920s  photo by Marchants  Studio-Gawler and Tanunda-South Australia . Over the  years,   this blogger  collected old photographs on all kinds of subjects  in  New Zealand and  Australia , one  group  relating  to  weddings , featuring many brides, sold  to  an Australian institution.

Unfortunately,  the  bride in the above  shot was  nibbled  by silverfish .

Sadly, in  many, many  instances,  the people in  the photos were not identified , or just carried a Christian name . A  woman  in  Adelaide  who  had  no  family  photographs used  to  buy old  pix  of  people  and   pretend  they  were  her ancestors .

The  above  Art Card study  of  serious  gent  attired like  Flash Harry  is dated May , l934 , taken  by  Hammer and  Co., Adelaide .
