ON THE WALLABY

   Magnetic  Island  jumpy .

Wallabies are on the hop  night and  day on  the island , many carrying   babies . The Queen of  the  Jungle  reports  that  a large  Wallaby  with a  Joey in its  pouch, hopped up on a  table at  her  royal estate   and  sat  there  , almost boasting  that  it  had  jumped   high enough  to  win a medal at the cancelled  Victorian  Commonwealth Games.

The Queen has to be  careful when she goes to get the royal mail  from the letterbox  because  Wallabies  have  dug  holes in the  lawn searching  for  tasty roots.

High jumping Wallabies  have also been invading   the  Little  Darwin   grounds at night , causing  Curlews to hiss , also digging up  the garden , with the  aid  of  a  Scrub Turkey , during the  day .

Down at the Nelly Bay waterfront , near the  helicopter pad, sunning  themselves, scratching   and watching marine traffic ,   there are many  cute  bounders, some with  child .
