The Queen of the Jungle is so close to nature she frequently rings this blog with instructions to come quickly with the camera as there is something of great interest taking place which could involve birds , snakes , possums, lizards , rain orchids , assorted blossoms . Recently she spotted several of the above local Kookaburras making sure cane toads run over on the road were well and truly dead by picking them and whacking them about like they do snakes. Three cane toads have been killed on our estate .
This blog would refuse to come running to snap a strange Curlew which calls on the Queen from time to time at 2am for a chat . She rescued a baby possum tuther day when part of a tree collapsed in the royal garden. It has gone to a wildlife carer's home .
