HEAT WAVE CONDITIONS FRY FISH, BARRIER REEF AND BRAINS OF BOUGAINVILLEA HEDGE TRIMMERS

While  not  melting  in  the current   torrid weather in the Townsville region,  the mysterious , maltreated  fibreglass  mermaid at  the entrance  to Magnetic island  is  showing signs of   fading  due to the blistering sun. From a distance , see  below,  the  decapitated  mermaid ,whose arms were also ripped off , appears to have a  seagull tattoo on  her tail , near the belly button. Some time ago, crows were photographed inspecting  the  mermaid .

However,  when our  intrepid Shipping Reporter , risking life and limb, scrambled  over the rocks to get  a close  look at  her  mistreated body , he discovered  what  looks  like  a  bird appears to be  white base paint showing through . And  a  nearby shadow looks like  a  gasping  Emperor Penguin.

No sane penguin would venture into the Townsville area right now. A  person who  has  lived in the Queen City of the North   for more than  60 years  has described  the  current  weather  as  the  worst   in  memory.
