LAZARUS TACKLES NURSES

Interesting   to  see Palmer United Party Senator Glenn Lazarus  raise  the issue of  Australian  trained nurses   finding  it  hard  to  get a  job  in  Queensland  while  nurses are  being brought in from overseas on  457 Visas . The  subject    has  been raised  with  this  writer  before ,  recently  in  the  Northern  Territory .  Lazarus pointed out that  the Queensland Nursing Association is  concerned  about  the situation , specifically  mentioned nurses brought in  from the Philippines .  A  report on  visas is expected to  be  handed to government  in  the near  future . In  nursing  and  other  jobs  , it  is  clear  that  the visas are  being  used   to  undermine  the  employment of  Australians .
