A message found in a bottle washed ashore indicates that Magnetic
Island , off Townsville , now has a new cafe and bar called Gilligan’s, which features furniture made from bamboo as in the TV series. There is even the lifebuoy of
the S.S. Minnow upon which Gilligan and
buddies sailed before they were shipwrecked . Scattered
about the premises , in Arcadia, are
framed photographs of the stars and scenes from the popular show . Staff wear Gilligan
