LORIKEET STRIKES GOLD

Hogging in on Golden Pentium  blossom , Lorikeet starts the day on a high, with bees,  in  North Queensland. On the other hand,  a Plover, below,  guards  body of chick  killed  by  car .These birds have the  habit of  laying  eggs near busy roadways in various parts of Australia , resulting in a terrible loss  of  young ones . A  much safer  place  for  Plovers was recently  found  in Darwin in the old cemetery where  this  blogger was  dive bombed by a  Plover  guarding  eggs .
