American United Artists Corporation 1970 cinema poster ,one of 184, printed on two sheets , for the controversial British-Australian film ,produced by Tony Richardson, about Australian bushranger Ned Kelly , starring Mick Jagger. It is listed for $850 at Douglas Stewart Fine Books, Melbourne.
The bookshop says the film was a commercial failure , that Jagger apparently disowned it and that Jagger's singing of the The Wild Colonial Boy for the soundtrack possibly his most embarrassing recording moment . Despite these negatives, it goes on to say in no way do they diminish the graphic power of the spectacular poster.
