It was a cross party , non-partisan gathering of federal politicians , journalists, lawyers and writers which covered Assange , censorship and free speech .
Tranter said the significance of the Belmarsh Tribunal could not be greater, not only for Julian Assange and his family. A critical point had been reached in history for press freedom and for all human rights intertwined with it.
