Stock transporter Greyman Express tied up in Townsville . At the nearby Duck Pond a strange bird-like object , below, was spotted near the site where several yachts have sunk , without much follow up by landlubber media . Does this indicate a salvage operation ?
The brave Shipping Reporter survived a close encounter with a dolphin at the entrance to the port when it suddenly ,repeatedly jumped up out of the sea like a star performer at Marineland, swamping the coracle . He only just saved the rare and uninsured vessel from sinking . Yet , somehow, he was able to unpack the Brownie and take the snap below of the spectacular leaping member of the Flipper family sinking back into the sea.
Just last Saturday workmen were seen examining a pontoon at the public boat ramp near the Townsville ferry terminal , giving the impression it had sprung a leak . There was unsightly scum visible on the Breakwater which caused ferry trippers to ask questions, take pics .
