After mixing with the pirates of Magnetic Island , Greens campaigner Wendy Tubman arranged for a barista broadside in a mug spelling out STOP ADANI. Some years ago, Wendy was deeply involved with a lively , real hard copy island newspaper which eventually came to an end , mainly because it cost a thousand bucks each edition to be printed in a Murdoch printery in Bowen . It then went online for a time . Badly needed right now is an island publication with real oomph as the mainland media coverage of Townsville's neglected and battered so called Jewel in the Crown is lacking in so many departments.
