THE LAST (SOB) HURRAH / HALLLELUJAH / PANTS AND NATION ON FIRE/ LET THEM EAT MORE PIGEON PIE

An exclusive, balanced   article  by  award winning  political reporter Argus Tuft dealing   with  the   final   sitting   of   parliament .

CANBERRA :  As expected , God  fearing  PM  Scott Morrison  invoked  the  10 Exodus   biblical  plagues  applied to the   Egyptians  when, armed with  the jawbones of  many asses ,  he  ferociously   attacked  the   Leader of  the Opposition ,  Bill Shorten,  his  tribe , all   its  firstborn  children  and  union members .

The   house , nay , the  nation ,  echoed  to   him  shouting :  Liar !Liar! Liar ! in respect of  the  loyal Leader of the Opposition .   Repeated   in  subsequent  media  conferences  and  the  budget  luncheon   when  he   trumpeted, as if outside the walls of  Jericho ,  that   Shorten   and  his team of  unwashed,  uncircumcised  lepers  would   drive  the   nation    into   a  future  of   Hell's   fire   and   brimstone .

A smart-arse , lefty  ABC  reporter   was  glared at when he pointed out that many  Labor  politicians  were  women ,  so   circumcision   did  not  apply to  them . It  was  decided on  the spot to slash another  $200million from the national  broadcaster's  always  shrinking  funds .

Deputy PM   Michael   Mackenzie  ,  tottering  current   head  of   the  all  shook up  National Party , shouted  Hallelujah!  and  repeatedly  raised his  hands   to Heaven , announcing , midst  a cloud of  trumpeting angels ,  the  arrival of   the   age  of   coast  to  coast  concrete , based   on   the  Japanese  experience  which transformed  that  once  lovely  country  into  a  German  autobahn .

On  hearing  skinhead Josh Freydenberg  explain  the  budget ,  observing the Coalition performing like  a   bunch  of   happy clappers under ScoMo's Sunday School leadership  in  past months  ,   one   veteran   Canberra   watcher   said   it   reminded   him  of   Upton Sinclair's  expose  of  cant  and   hypocrisy , The Profits  of  Religion .

Seeing  the  manager  of   government  business , Christopher  Pyne , The   Fixer ,  sob  at  the end   his  farewell speech  was  a  memorable moment . However, if anybody   should have  been weeping and wailing ,  it is all  those unfortunate   Australians who  watch Question Time  and  had  listened  to  mind numbing, infuriating, infantile    Dorothy  Dix   question's  compiled  in  Pyne's office under his  supervision .

Ms. Dix  will , in  all probability, retire to a  nunnery, and after a bout of Spanish self flagellation ,  seek   divine forgiveness   for   her  many  sins   against   the  nation's  mental   health , her  contribution to  the rapid growth of  offensive language  in  the  community , widespread  smashing of television sets  and  helping  spread    Coalition  fibs.

Apart  from   it  being revealed that    he will become  the PR for  South Australia's big   wooden rocking horse at  Gumeracha , it is  also  known   Christopher   is on a short list for the  important job  as the commissionaire  outside the Adelaide Club . In this highly  responsible position, dressed like the man outside  Hoyts ,   he would   protect the  club  being  invaded   by  women , republicans-like  that  academic  chap    Geoffrey Dutton  - and  noisy  day trippers  after  a  ride up  the Torrens aboard  the nuclear  powered  Popeye   riverboats.

Meanwhile , jostling   street-wise  pigeons  outside parliament   house  were  hard pressed to find a  crumb  of  benefit  in Freydenberg's  first budget  for  the many men, women  and  children  in  crowded  struggle  streets.
After Bill Shorten delivered his well received budget reply  speech  , above,  he was  asked  how he felt  having  been  soundly  abused   and   rubbished  by   the PM and the   rest of the   front   bench    during   Question Time .   Shorten's  response   sounded  like a take   from the  Monty Python movie  , Life  of  Brian , when  he   said , in effect ,  he  expected  to  be  stoned  and hung out to dry  by  the hysterical  Coalition  side , fearfull  of  being  decimated ,  cast into the political wilderness  under the  aggressive , name calling  leadership of     pompous   Pontius  Pilate.
