THE DRUMS OF WAR AND COMMUNICATION WITH DISTANT MILITARY MEDICAL POSTS

North  Queensland  find  links  Philippines  and  world  on  brink of  world  war
In what appears to be a review by military officers of several  nations , one apparently British ,  this postcard , dated 11/6/1912 , was sent   by Adele   and   Eva , of Austria , to a person  in the  hospital  at Corregidor, in the Philippines ,  see information  below . When the  Japanese  captured  Corregidor , at  the entrance to Manila Bay ,   during  WWII, American and  Filipino  troops , trapped in the fortified tunnels, made a  last desperate stand.

Vessels  at the  German port of Hamburg  shown on  the postcard  below,  from whence  it was posted to  a  person at  another  hospital  at  Fort Mills ,  Manila ,  the  fort  variously  described  as  being  shaped  like a  boat  and  a   tadpole .
