Yet another UFO (Uppity Footwear Oddity ) has been sighted at
Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island . The sneakers were
dangling from the same powerline where several
months ago Little Darwin snapped a pair of gym boots on high, speculating
that it could have been footwear
dropped by Icarus
after he forgot to slap on sunscreen when he took off for the
sun and as a consequence fell back to earth. What is going
on at Horseshoe Bay ?
Why is footwear turning flighty ? In
America , a pair of shoes hanging
over wires is taken as a sign that there is a crack dealer nearby
. Darwin agronomist , Rob Wesley-Smith , visiting
the island , who has seen some odd

intrigued by the

could be a new manifestation of Queensland
