Entitled Lunar Images , painted steel by Berlin born Jewish sculptor Inge King , who died in Australia , aged 100, is one of Darwin's pieces of public art. and attracts much viewing. The dark side of the Moon was closely examined by our sharp eyed art correspondent, Ponsonby Willis , and he was perturbed to discover it showed signs of having been the victim of a graffiti attack , offensive words scratched on its surface , along with a few rough stars ,see below.
Ponsonby says that if there is a man on the Moon, he should be asked to immediately cover the offending bits of the landscape with some Bunnings black paint.
