Photographer Vallis has been annoying spiders of late . In the process of trying to snap a tiny spider , above , in a web strung between trees ,flapping about in the wind , he had a strange experience when he downloaded the chip.
Because of his failing eyesight and the wind , all his shots were out of focus and produced a frightening series of images of a monster , almost as big as a car , which would scare the neighbour's kids and set dogs barking hysterically .
With the help of a neighbour, below, who has had a lot of experience photographing wildlife , Vallis went out and finally got the spider in focus against his shaky hand .
