Indications of major changes taking place on Magnetic Island are the sale of houses and blocks of land , talk of several planned subdivisions and the growing parking problem at the ferry terminal. All the planned development has raised questions about the island's sewerage system , septic tanks in some places , known to overflow in the Wet .While on the subject of effluent , there have been reports that Horseshoe Bay residents are perturbed by all the discharge from the many yachts that pull in.
