Kept in a carpeted garage with valuable paintings on the wall, including portraits of the late Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, the red vehicle at the front of this photo is the rare Bentley Continental , hand-built by Mulliner Park Ward, builders of Rolls-Royce vehicles which once belonged to editor, journalist , publisher and ALP politician , Pete Steedman, of Melbourne . Only 131 of these were made between 1999 and 2002.
A November 2011 article about Bentleys stated the above one "used to sleep next to a Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph in the same Fire Glow Red colour in a ( Victorian) garage on a country estate". The garage was also a display area for " some lovely neo-classical art ". The only driving the car did was probably " to the letter box at the front of the farm". Steedman supplied another view of the garage .
