One of Little Darwin's roving reporters , a cat lover, is once more tripping about Japan , a country he much admires , sending back arty and odd photographs of temples , graves, mountains and city advertising and architecture . Down a dark alley he snapped what we at first thought (groan) were cat figures, which on closer inspection could be rabbits , even include a kangaroo !!!
No caption to explain what is going on in this weird Nipponese burrow . Is that a counterfeit thousand yen bill hanging out to dry ? That could not possibly be an ATM on the wall , could it ? Our traveller had better not show the bunnies to his cats when he gets back to Melbourne as they will react, hiss, go off their vegan tucker . No sooner had we posted this story than we received another purr-plexing photographic series from our man in Japan .
THE CASE OF THE HAUNTED HOTEL
A man of few words, what is it they say about a cat stealing your tongue ?, our correspondent provided the briefest of email information . Seems he was exploring somewhere out of Tokyo when his attention was drawn to the above derelict , spooky building in a commanding position , said to be an abandoned hotel . Poking about inside, he found a chaotic scene , with smashed office equipment , the remains of what looked like a communal bath .
In what appeared to be a boiler room , many pipes visible, slippers were neatly lined up . Could make an ideal location for a horror movie called Psycho .
