In a mysterious development , this odd looking 1929 Townsville building, bearing the name THE PARLOUR OF PROPHECY, has suddenly undergone a change. The Parlour of Prophecy sign has been erased, replaced with a strange new title, Lighten Up. Could be inspired by that old hit song , Don't Worry , Be Happy ? Local media, especially the Townsville Bulletin , which is just down the road , has not picked up this vanishing act ,which no doubt would make an interesting feature article . Our marauding S(h)ipping Reporter drew our attention to this situation . He reminded us that the name change of the old Chifley Hotel in the CBD to the Madison Plaza had also gone unnoticed by local scribes who, in the words of an old song , don't get around much anymore, certainly not on foot.
