STONE THE CROWS!!!

The    mutilated  mystery mermaid at  the entrance to Magnetic Island has been receiving  regular visits from  noisy  Crows.  Our  Shipping Reporter , a rare old  bird hisself, who keeps a close watch on the mermaid , took  the  above  photo  showing   the   birds   near  the grossly  mistreated  lady and her seeing -eye dog  .

He  wonders  if  the Crows are   sizing  her  up  as  a  nest  site . According to  What Bird Is That ,by Neville W. Cayley,  Crows, also known as  Ravens, like a  large, open , rather deep  nest , composed of  sticks and twigs ,  lined with grass and   wool .  It is usually placed in  the fork of  a   tall  tree    .

However, the  large  holes  caused  by  her  arms and  head   being  ripped off  by unknown  boofheads   might  just  make  her  interior  a  prime Crow  real  estate  nest   site , with   magnificent    views  of  the  sea   and   distant  ranges.
