part of the nation- wide centenary the Australian War Museum launched a travelling exhibition of
Gallipoli photographs by Sir Charles
Ryan , a leading Melbourne surgeon and a senior military officer, who is said
to have treated Ned Kelly at Glenrowan after the shootout and the bushranger’s capture . Ryan served as a doctor in the Turkish Army in 1877-78 and was decorated
by the Turks .
