Surely one of the best election photographs, it shows the Greens candidate for Hindmarsh in South Australia, Andrew Payne, and Senator Sarah Hanson-Young , with a politically minded pelican . Pelicans are deeply concerned about global warming, pollution of the environment, diminishing fish stocks, Queensland's failure to protect the Great Barrier Reef and other major issues about which only the Greens are really concerned.
No baby kissing, wearing funny clobber in pie factories, making endless karate chops with the hands , pointing the finger , exposing the budgie smugglers, wearing safety helmets - just a beaut moment . Of course, Andrew Payne has a way with birds as he has a talking budgerigar. Little Darwin unashamedly urges South Australians to vote for Andrew and Sarah.
