Pictorial coverage of boats carrying Vietnamese refugees in Darwin back in the l970s is included in a book which will be launched tomorrow at the Maritime Museum in Sydney. The event was captured by Mike Jensen , a top cameraman employed by the Australian News and Information Bureau, when he was based in Darwin. The book covers 100 major maritime events in Australia. Little Darwin spoke to Jensen in Canberra as he prepared to fly to Sydney for the launch . Discussing the arrival of the boats in Darwin and how he came to take the photographs, Jensen commented that nothing much had changed on the refugee front since then, boats still coming. The photographs he took at the time had been widely used throughout the nation.
