In an area of Townsville where ground building Bowerbirds have been seen in recent years, the above bird , only visible for a short time, was photographed. Not clear if it is a Bowerbird, perhaps a Fawn-breasted Bowerbird, which is found in parts of Cape York and Papua New Guinea , its saucer-shaped nest placed in trees. An assortment of colourful bits and pieces collected by a ground dwelling bird on display below.
