Threatened with removal as part of a $61million road upgrade in Adelaide is the heritage listed Waite Lodge/Gatehouse, the subject of a protest rally this weekend . A prominent interstate agronomist is strongly opposed to the government proposal. The 130 year old building , surrounded by 2O trees, some 120 years old , is on the edge of the Waite campus of the University of Adelaide, near the Arboretum . A petition opposed to the project has so far been signed by more than 15,000 people .
