Time please , gentlemen ! This used to be the call way back when 10pm was the closing time in pubs. In the North Queensland city of Townsville our sober Shipping Reporter , the only one north of Wally World , believes it is time for gentlemen and gals of the media to glance at the city's public clocks . He has been doing so for ages and found they are wonky , which reflects poorly on the Queen City of the North ... can't get its clocks to run on time .
Repeatedly, he pointed out the former post office clock above, atop what is now the Brewery building , has been tipsy , would not pass a breathalyser test . No matter from what angle the clock is viewed it appears blotto .
Admittedly , the clock at the Townsville Travel Centre, on the railway building, which had not been working for a considerable time , is back on the rails and actually showing the correct time .
