VALE VERN O'BRIEN

The  sad  word has  gone out to members of  the  Geneological Society  of  the Northern Territory (GSNT) that  Darwin identity Vern O'Brien , mentioned recently in this  blog , has  died , aged  91 . Vern joined the GSNT in 1983 and was  awarded  its  first honorary membership in 2000  for outstanding contributions  not only to NT research but also his work in  the foundation of what has become known  as the Northern Territory  Pioneer and  Death databases.
