Shari Tagliabue , who wrote the surprising anti -Adani Carmichael coalmine article in last Saturday's Weekend Townsville Bulletin , has announced she is signing off as the editor of the paper's Townsville Eye weekly insert . She wrote "...now I am off to explore new ventures , enjoy my garden and tackle the pile of books that is worryingly high ..." The next incarnation of the publication would be run by Chris Silvini . The first edition of the publication had been produced in 2007 by Tagliabue and her sister Christy Vena , Nicole Kidman on the cover .
UPDATE: According to The Magpie, aka Malcolm Weatherup , Ms Tagliabue has been made redundant in another restructure and is now a freelance columnist on the paper .
