The misplaced 1920s Chinese business card bought in Thailand by one of our ephemera hunters has been found . The business was located in Bangkok's Chinatown , in Sampeng Street , part of the historic Yaowarat Road area, the path of which resembled a dragon's curving body , thus an auspicious location for business. Chinese moved to the area in 1780.
Today the Sampeng Market is part of a busy area with many shops dealing in gold, textiles , garments , stationery , souvenirs , antiques , imported musical instruments and local delicacies .
