KELLY, CURLEWS , KILLER KOOKA

The morning  ritual of listening to Fran Kelly on the ABC while eating cereal at the table  on  the back  verandah , Curlews nearby waiting to be fed , was interrupted when a  fat  Kookaburra flew in. After inspecting the breakfast dish, it then moved  down the table , causing the Curlews to hiss at the intruder . It flew into a nearby tree , the Curlews were  fed  and  then  the  Kookaburra flew back to  the  table  and  ate some of  the  Curlew  food.
Later in the morning, back on the verandah , with a cup of coffee and toasted sourdough ,spread with Danish Brie, the latter an unexpected  gift  from an artist  moving to Wollongong , NSW, the  Kookaburra arrives again out of the blue  with several  Green Ant  passengers  visible  on  feathers ,  and eyes off  the food . Given a  piece  of  toast with the  last dob of Brie, above, he treats it like a snake,  belts  it  to  death  on  the table . Then he flutters over  to pyjamas thrown across the table , settles down , pecks the clothing .
