NEWSFLASH : SPOOKY CRISAFULLI MYSTERY DEEPENS

Despite the puzzling report that a  rusty plaque bearing  the name of  Queensland  Opposition Leader David Crisafulli had vanished from  Townsville's  Anderson Botanic Gardens , Little Darwin   discovered  it  is back  in situ, as spotty as  before.

The weird event is like an episode from the   Night Stalker television series about  an odd  American investigative   reporter ,Carl Kolchak, involved in supernatural  and   paranormal  cases.

While investigating  the  strange return of the plaque, Little Darwin discovered that  the  nearby unusual sculpture of  Doug the  Dung Beetle , by Tasmanian Cameron  Rushton , is showing signs of  timber  weathering ,some of the old recycled  sprinklers on his  giant  ball of  dung  displaying    rust , ike Crisafulli.

EXCLUSIVE : SHOCK DISAPPEARANCE OF BANANABENDING OPPOSITION LEADER !!!

No kidding, the mysterious   disappearance  of  the above corroded, hard to read  plaque , marking the  2013 opening of  an unusual  part of  a Townsville  park  by the now Queensland  Opposiion Leader, David " The Kid " Crisafulli, has raised the wild theory   that  it  has been  snatched  by  aliens  from  Planet Zog  or succumbed to  the dreaded Billy Bombax  armpit  devouring  disease..

Last February  this  alert  blog warned that Crisafulli's plaque, above, in the Anderson Botanic Gardens , was in danger of  being unhinged  and  quoted a Townsville  rust expert, Ned Ferrous,   a major shareholder in A.G.Sims, that The Kid  could  be  in  for a  fall.

Ferrous expressed the  hope Crisafulli had not picked up or was a carrier  of  the  terrible  arborial disease  which had  reduced  North Queenland's Giant of Sistainability, Billy Bombax , a nearby tree with human features,  to a pile of sawdust,  limb  by  limb..

Little Darwin was recently   tipped off  that the plaque, at the top, is in worse shape , Crisafulli's name hard to decipher., alarmingly like the onslaught of Bombax syndrome.

A few days later, the plaque  had  vanished  without  explanation, the local media   not  noticing .

BOWERBIRD COUNTRY

In an area  of Townsville where  ground building Bowerbirds have been seen in recent years, the  above   bird  , only visible for a short time,  was  photographed. Not  clear if it is a Bowerbird, perhaps  a Fawn-breasted Bowerbird, which is found  in parts of  Cape York  and Papua New Guinea , its saucer-shaped nest placed in  trees.  An assortment of colourful bits and pieces collected by  a ground dwelling  bird  on  display below.
