In what could be taken as a scene from another film version of John Wyndham's 1962 sci-fi book, The Day Of The Triffids , are these striking seven metre high stainless steel sculptures , representing Sun , Wind and Rain , by Col Henry , of Wyong Creek , NSW. Erected last year outside the Eddie Koki Mabo Library, James Cook University, Queensland, the artwork emits unpredictable variations in solar powered lighting , rain in the form of mist and has leaves , shaped like the local Almond Tree , which rattle in the wind.
