for oddities in books and ephemera , we recently stumbled across
a surprise insert in the
above 1983 Angus and Robertson reprint of
Norman Lindsay’s Australian
epic children's book The Magic Pudding Being the Adventures of Bunyip Bluegum . That item , a printed
slip , contained instructions on how to deal
with a Christmas
Pudding , cooked in the old fashion way in calico , on Christmas
Day . In addition , it supplied
two recipes for sauce , one
