Large numbers of Suphur-crested Cockatoos turned up at the Festival of the Outback Skies , held at Hughenden ,halfway between Townsville and Mount Isa, this long weekend . Aeronautical Correspondent Abra attended the big event which included live music,an art workshop, line dancing, whip making and bull riding . She took these photographs of the birds along with a swag of other interesting snaps,some of which will adorn the blog.
