THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN BUSHRANGER HUNT UNDERWAY

Magnetic Island resident  Gary Hunn  and  son, Kelly, set out this weekend  on  their epic bushranger   film expedition They plan to travel 6000 kilometres,  visit 50 towns and  make  at  least  two films   about Australia's very colourful  bushrangers . The idea  for  the films  arose out of a visit  to Ned  Kelly country . Ever since  then , Gary has  been  boning up on the subject, making  many  phone calls, contacting  descendants , arranging access to relics . The Ned Kelly  like  image  right is  a seat  made out of a tree  in Townsville's  Anderson  Botanic  Gardens , a gem of  a  place .
