The abandoned Sunbird nest on the back verandah is starting to disintegrate , but busy wasps, in numbers , are buzzing about , making mud nests in various locations .
The nests shown below are near a sliding window , seven in a line underneath the nearby windowsill . Other nests have been built under the roofing iron in clusters .
A nest in the early stages of construction up against a wall , looking like a potter's creation , is featured below , followed by the trailing piece of the intricate Sunbird nest which fell off , revealing component parts .
