Devilish possums, with evil, glowing eyes on the prowl
Strange things have been happening at night in the locked , newly renovated old schoolhouse used as a museum and craft centre on Magnetic Island . In the morning , clear indications of ungodly goings on during the witching hours have been found . Could not possibly be a possum , said the contracting firm which carried out the work , as vermin wire was inserted to stop any critters from getting in.
However , droppings and urine dribbles proved that there is at least one possum locked up inside who probably romped in during the alterations and decided to take up residence . A professional possum remover has been ordered from the mainland to perform the necessary rites to remove the pesky intruder/s.
Possums are out in force right now and this blogger only last night donged two of them with a straw broom as they were galloping noisily about on the roof, only pausing for a drink from the dish of water set aside for our Curlews , causing them to be upset.
And down at the residence of the Queen of the Jungle during the week cute daytime photographs were taken of a slumbering mother possum and child after a hard night on the tiles and tin roofs .
