After 10 years and
a ton of fun ,
ownership of the online Wagaitear
newspaper
at Mandorah, the seaside suburb across
from Darwin, will pass from veteran journalist
Jack Ellis to Anna Greer .
Jack , one of the few
disgustingly healthy scribes in Darwin , has been umpiring Aussie Rules
since l972 , officiating at
some 500 matches . Running
in various ways
will feature in his future plans- he will continue running his nursery and media
consulting business and running
with the Hash House
Harriers . Oh, nearly forgot to mention he also intends to
keep fit. In his own words, he
will continue
as a part-time revolving, roving , revolting , rural reporter.
Ms Greer has had a career
in marketing and works as an ABC producer . The change takes place at the
end of the financial year . In
his spare time, it is suggested Jack should
write his memoirs about the time he spent
working at the Northern Territory News .
